My philosophy to Eating: The 80/20 Rule
I'm not striving to be perfect. I believe that the 80/20 rule provides enough balance of quality food with the allowance to eat things without guilt and I'm able to enjoy and savor these dishes without overindulging. Its simple math; 5 days out a week is 80%. So I stick to my colorful fruits and vegetables. The 20% comes in when life occurs, like celebrations and events where you cannot find the healthy options to my active lifestyle. And that is Okay! Once I got into this habit, I sometimes didn't need to use the entire 20% allowance because my body craves the good stuff! Who wudda thunk?!
